The Human Resource Assistant will perform a variety of duties for the Human Resource Department in a supportive role.
This position would serve in an administrative capacity to the Human Resource Director, HR Generalist, and Staff Development.
Execute assigned duties with highest regard to confidentiality and discretion, while adhering to policy and procedures set by the credit union.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain personnel files for current and previous credit union staff.
Work with employee files both in paper copy and electronically.
This involves proper filing and organization of new information, updating files as needed, ensure all paperwork is accounted for and complete.
Responsible for assisting with the Affirmative Action Program.
Will be required to compose and deliver correspondence as needed.
Assist in projects dealing with the Employee Assistance Program.
Administrative duties including but not limited to making copies, faxing, consolidating/alphabetizing documentation, and maintain multiple filing systems.
Assist in the recruitment & selection process as requested.
Create electronic personnel files for new employees.
Assist in performing specialized or confidential administrative duties, including researching data and preparing reports as needed.
Assist in the bi-weekly payroll process as needed.
Take responsibility for state and federal labor law posting requirements ensuring all branch locations are up to date at all times.
Annually pay the PCORI fees timely and accurately.
Research as needed.
Annually distribute Medicare Part D notices timely and accurately.
Research as needed.
Research and be knowledgeable of employment related laws and regulations.
Assist in miscellaneous projects in the department as requested.
Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
Work Relationships and Scope:
Reports directly to the Human Resource Director.
Works closely with Human Resource Director, HR Generalist & Staff Development.
Due to the nature of the position, will work with all employees at WCCU.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education/Experience Requirements:
Previous experience working in a business environment/leadership capacity needed.
Advanced coursework in Human Resources or Business Management helpful.
Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, recruitment/hiring, payroll, and benefits preferred.
Working knowledge of business software programs (Human Resource Information Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, etc) required.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate under tight deadlines and frequent interruptions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
